Mount Dickey and Mount Coursier from the Southwest # 2893

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2002.09.04
Vantage Point: From near Eva Lake

Caption: Mount Dickey (left) and Mount Coursier (right) are at the head of the Coursier Creek drainage.

PhotoDescr: Many times I've driven past the Meadows-in-the-Sky road that leads to the summit area of Mount Revelstoke. In September of 2002 I finally had enough time to drive up the road and hike the six kilometers to Eva Lake, with a side trip to Miller Lake. It was worth the effort, with a good trail through flower-strewn meadows and not much elevation gain or loss.

From Eva Lake I was able to reach a viewpoint over the Coursier Creek valley. The creek drains directly into the Columbia River in its Lake Revelstoke phase.
