Rapid Peak Area # 2694

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2001.09
Vantage Point: From Mount Rexford basin

Caption: The infrequently visited Rapid Peak from the north.

PhotoDescr: Taken on one of numerous trips to the Rexford/Nesakwatch Spires area. On a previous trip in the rain, we had kept walking along the Nesakwatch FSR, only realizing that we had walked past the Rexford spur when we could no longer see the Sleese basin and were proabably across the border. This would seem to be the quickest approach to the north side of Rapid, but it would still involve some healthy bushwacking. At the headwaters of the Nesakwatch River are some interesting peaks which Canadians assume to have been sussed out by the Americans from their side and Americans think are well discovered by Canadians from theirs.
