Cliffs - Southwest shore of Wedgemount Lake # 2183

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2003.06.14
Vantage Point: Near the waterfalls at the west end of Wedgemount Lake

Caption: Cliffs above Wedgemount Lake - that's me in the middle.

PhotoDescr: Before hiking down after a night at the lake, we stashed our packs near the trail and hiked along the rocky shore to see the waterfalls at the west end. The huge dark cliffs loomed over us, and the dramatic pinnacles and spires changed shape as we moved along the shore. We met some rangers who mentioned that some of the cliffs have been climbed - they looked pretty loose and scary to us though.
