Date: 2002.07.20
Vantage Point: From lowest lake in the Valley of Lakes

Caption: Arctomys Peak on the left and Mount Lyell in the centre stand at the end of the Valley of Lakes.

PhotoDescr: The Valley of Lakes is a little-visited trailless area at the headwaters of Arctomys Creek in Banff National Park. This picture was taken on the second day of a three-day bushwhack up Arctomys Creek. The Lyell Icefield can be seen. The horn on the right can probably be best described as part of the southeast ridge of Monchy Mountain.
