Rock Lake: A Boy, his Dog, and Mount Kelsey # 200

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1975.08.31
Vantage Point: Rock Lake

Caption: A boy plays with his dog in Rock Lake, in Alberta's Wildhay River Valley, with Mount Kelsey in the background.

PhotoDescr: Rock Lake is just outside of Jasper National Park, in the Wildhay River Valley. It's the trailhead for a shortcut to the North Boundary Trail, eliminating part of the trek up the Snake Indian River Valley. The nearer ridge on the left is the north end of the Bosche Range; the Snake Indian flows southward behind it, after passing south (left in the picture) of Mount Kelsey, the snow-capped peak in the centre. On the right is the south end of the Persimmon Range. Shortly after moving to Hinton, I was exploring the area, and found myself at Rock Lake, at the end of a spur off the Forestry Trunk Road. See Rain Coming at Rock Lake. As usual, I had my camera with me, and captured this moody blue scene.
