Window Blind Peak from the north # 19186

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2020.05.25
Vantage Point: From the San Rafael River, looking south

Caption: Window Blind Peak at dawn

PhotoDescr: Taken during a two week road trip to Utah from Washington state. Our first morning on the Colorado Plateau was spent at the San Rafael River, and I got up early to see the sun on the nearby buttes. Window Blind Peak dominates the view from the San Rafael Bridge area, a somewhat unique butte in that it has a number of ridge-like arms resembling a starfish. If you enlarge the photo you can see how the upper walls resemble a window with old fashioned curtains.

All routes to the summit are technical ascents.
