Acorn Peak from above. # 18926

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2020.07.26
Vantage Point: Seed Peak

Caption: Acorn Peak in center.

PhotoDescr: This photo from the summit of Seed Peak shows the open summit ridge of Acorn Peak well. On my 1981 climb of Gillespie I had marked my route as traversing the south slopes where I remembered mostly narrow open clearings also. On the 1998 loop hike I noted in my diary climbing the 1520' peak, but didn't mark a traverse, one forgets so much.

On the horizon in center is Skypilot Mountain, the small tower to the left is Mount Sheer, to the right Mount Habrich and far right Mount Sedgwick. Below Skypilot is Wesel Peak with Clarion Peak to the left.
