Mount Steve - South aspect # 18788

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.08.08
Vantage Point: From west of the top of Slim-Nichols Pass, looking north

Caption: Southern aspect of Mount Steve.

PhotoDescr: Taken on the fifth day of a 6 day trip to the Slim Creek Headwaters area. Each morning we woke up to this nice, sun-drentched view of the southern side of Mount Steve. Back on the second day of our trip, we climbed up to the summit "ridge" and traversed from left to right before returning to camp.

Despite its rather small stature compared to other peaks in the area, we came to respect it after having to climb over the shoulder out of view to the left multiple times during the trip.

The southern slopes offer a multitude of wildflowers in season, which we also enjoyed.
