Mount Pocaterra - East Face # 18745

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.11.30
Vantage Point: From Pocaterra Ridge

Caption: This photo shows the east face of Mount Pocaterra. Note the group of seven skiers putting in a "November skin track" below the face.

PhotoDescr: There wasn't a photo of Mount Pocaterra on Bivouac, and the last day of the year to ski the Highwood before the HWY went to bed for the year was a good a day as any to take photos. The skiing was good too. Only 70-90 cm of snow, but it skied pretty well for November.

Mount Pocaterra is most easily climbed by doing a traverse from the summit of Mount Tyrwhitt. It's a bit airy and loose in sections, but like most scrambles in Kananaskis, it's getting up and down off the ridges and summits that's the crux.
