Griswold S1 and Nichols Creek # 18727

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.08.06
Vantage Point: From the ridge west of Nichols Creek, looking north

Caption: Griswold S1 is at photo left, with Griswold Peak proper behind it. Musket W3 is in the right background.

PhotoDescr: Taken on the third day of a 6 day trip to the Slim Creek Headwaters. After traversing over to Glacier View Lake and Tuber Hill for the day, we returned via a slightly more easterly route, avoiding some sidehilling beneath Lepton S2.

This upper portion of Nichols Creek was quite nice, and a really great color. We crossed back over at the lower right, where the creek splits around a sandy island. The slopes on the other side were densely populated with paintbrush and other wildflowers, so much so the red blotches were visible from here.
