View Northeast from Tuber Hill # 18712

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.08.06
Vantage Point: From the summit of Tuber Hill, looking northeast

Caption: View of various peaks of the South Chilcotin from Tuber Hill. Battlement Peak may be visible just below BC95.

PhotoDescr: Taken on the third day of a 6 day trip to the Slim Creek Headwaters. To access Tuber Hill from our camp below Mount Steve (behind the shoulder of Stanza Peak at right) we traversed in a big horseshoe to avoid losing too much elevation into Nichols Creek. On our way back we found a route down into the W. Fk. Nichols Creek upper valley avoiding some talus without losing too much elevation, as our trip in the morning was too high up.

We would climb Microscope SE1 the next day, after visiting Griswold Pass. Mount Vic and BC95 (another high peak above Vic Lake) were quite prominent from a distance. There are a number of nice tarns scattered in the upper Nichols basin.
