Tuber Hill and Glacier View Lake # 18698

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.08.06
Vantage Point: From the slopes north of Glacier View Lake, looking south

Caption: Tuber Hill is the summit immediately above the lake, with Glacier View behind and to the left. Red Sail is the first peak behind and to the right.

PhotoDescr: Taken on the third day of a 6 day trip to the Slim Creek Headwaters area. On our first full day in the alpine, we made the long trip to this plateau, where we would have stayed the first night had the Bridge River FSR not been blocked. It's a beautiful spot, with the tarns at the left warm enough to swim in. The view of the Lillooet Icefield would be great in the morning alpenglow.

There is active mine surveying occurring down the creek west (right) of the peak, so perhaps Tuber Hill is of volcanic origin.

We summited Tuber Hill via the obvious ridge at center, gaining it from the left above the snow patch that looks like a cow.

The large, gentle, glacial basin in the right background lies below Salal Peak, which I climbed back in 2010.
