Musket W3 from Mount Steve # 18689

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.08.05
Vantage Point: From the summit of Mount Steve, looking north

Caption: The summit of Musket W3 is at center-left. The peak in the right background is a northern subpeak of Musket Peak.

PhotoDescr: Taken on the second day of a 6 day trip to the Slim Creek Headwaters. Musket W3, like its neighbor Musket SW2, is an island that sticks out of the surrounding alpine terrain. According to the satellite view there is a nice pocket glacier and lake on the NE side of the peak, not visible here. It appears the easiest ascent route is up the slopes on the left to the low point on the ridge, and then up to the summit.

I had sketched out a daytrip circumnavigating this peak to explore the various tarns and alpine terrain ahead of our trip as an option if we had poor weather and the peaks were obscured, but never had to use it.
