Ursus and Tillworth Mountain: 18 years later # 18680

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.08.04
Vantage Point: From the big Slim Creek swamp, looking south

Caption: Various peaks of the western Dickson Range. Tillworth is the highest peak visible (2626 m) but Ursus is arguably more impressive looking, at 2606 m.

PhotoDescr: Taken on the first day of a 6 day trip to the Slim Creek Headwaters. This was one of the pretty, though mosquito-infested, little tarns in the big swamp of the Slim Creek valley.

After the trip I realized this photo was taken in almost the same place as Klaus's 18 years earlier. Looks like a lone tree in the swamp died in that time. In particular, the glacier below Tillworth has melted significantly since 2001.

For an extra fun bit of trivia, a different party skied a variety of these peaks the around my birthday in 1992.
