Mount Penrose from Downtown Lake # 18673

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.08.04
Vantage Point: From the shores of Downton Lake, looking northwest

Caption: Mount Penrose is the reddish peak photo center. Mistaken, Emily, and Bluster are in a line to the left and behind it.

PhotoDescr: Taken on our way to a 6 day trip in the Slim Creek Headwaters. Mount Penrose is the easternmost peak in the Dickson Range (Mount Dickson was hidden from this vantage), high above Downtown and Gun Lakes. It in fact rises a good 1800m above our vantage point here on the Bridge River FSR. In early August Downton Lake was a vibrant blue-green from the outflow of the Bridge River.

There is a very small pocket glacier north of the summit.
