Glacial Lake below Ayesha Peak # 18656

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2019.08.28
Vantage Point: The small bump below Mount Baker.

Caption: The beautiful glacial lake between Ayesha Peak and Mount Baker.

PhotoDescr: This is actually one of two large glacial lakes near the western extremity of the Wapta Icefield that drain into Collie Creek. The chunk of ice visible in the photo is the terminus of the Ayesha Glacier.

Karen and I took advantage of new roads and bridges in the Blaeberry and spent two days rambling and scrambling in all three headwaters of Collie Creek.

A spectacular and remote area.
