Mount Stuart from below (south) # 18469

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2016.09.05
Vantage Point: From the Ingalls Creek Trail, looking northeast

Caption: The many gullies on the south side of Mount Stuart

PhotoDescr: Taken on daytrip lollipop to Lake Ingalls and Longs Pass. The upper Ingalls Creek Trail provides an interesting view of the steep southern side of Mount Stuart, with its many gullies. There are three or four places where evidence of past debris flows cross the trail, which is not too surprising as any time it rains heavily the water likely rushes down violently from above. The view here is foreshortened, but it's a long 4000 feet up to the summit from where the photo was taken.
