Esmerelda Peaks from near Ingalls Pass # 18463

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2016.09.05
Vantage Point: From below Ingalls Pass, looking southwest

Caption: Esmeralda Peaks at center, with the slopes of Ingalls SW4 behind it to the right.

PhotoDescr: Taken on a daytrip lollipop to Lake Ingalls and Longs Pass. The Esmeralda Peaks strike above the parking lot for this trail, but by the time we reached the pass they were dwarfed by the Stuart Range in the other direction. The summit is most easily gained along the ridge along the right skyline.

Late in the year it is obvious this area of the Cascades is the last gasp before the sry interior.
