Johannesburg Mountain from the confluence of the Cascade River and Vee Creek # 18462

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2016.08.13
Vantage Point: From the flats beside the Cascade River and See Creek confluence, looking east

Caption: Ribbed southwest slopes of Johannesburg Mountain. The green alpine area is at the head of Pincer Creek.

PhotoDescr: Taken after a daytrip to Cascade Pass the top of Sahale Arm. Most people are familiar with the icy north side of Johannesburg, but the other aspects are just as steep, if much drier. We got this pic from a nice set of flats along the Cascade River just above where the Kindy Creek Road crosses. There are a few nice dispersed camping spots in this area but we did not stay in them.

The dead trees at the lower right are part of the old upper Cascade burn from the mid 2000s, which unfortunately made the Middle and Upper Cascade River trails difficult bushwhacks.
