Forbidden Peak and Mount Torment from Sahale Arm # 18438

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2016.08.13
Vantage Point: From the middle of Sahale Arm, looking north

Caption: Impressive southern exposure of Forbidden Peak (right) and Mount Torment (left)

PhotoDescr: Taken on a daytrip to Cascade Pass and Sahale Arm. Once atop Sahale Arm, the view of Forbidden dominates the view to the north. The small glacier below the summit cliffs is called the Taboo Glacier, although it is not labeled on maps. The popular Torment-Forbidden Traverse crosses the skyline from left to right between the two peaks. Forbidden is arguably more striking from the north, its pyramid towering over Moraine Lake and the Forbidden Glacier. One can access the meadows below Forbidden (Boston Basin) by climbing a trail from the Cascade River Road.

The large moraine at lower right lies far below the current extent of the Queen Sabe Glacier, and is colored red thanks to the crumbly rock on Boston Peak. The trail to Boston Basin crosses the lower portion of the moraine, and likely offers a good view up to Boston Peak.
