Jack Mountain SW Face - from Thunder Knob # 18394

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2016.05.12
Vantage Point: From the Thunder Knob Trail, looking NE

Caption: Rugged SW Face of Jack Mountain.

PhotoDescr: Taken during a car trip over the North Cascades Highway. Jack Mountain is one of the most prominent in the region, towering above lower Ross Lake. From most directions in the US you don't get a view of the much different north side, which holds the large Nohokomeen Glacier.

There is a good view of the peak right off the highway east of the Ross Dam parking area, as well as from the top of Thunder Knob.
