Trooper Peak and Crevasses # 18304

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2018.10.21
Vantage Point: From final col on Detective Peak

Caption: Trooper peak on the right hand skyline.

PhotoDescr: This photo was taken on the second day of our loop around Police peak. From our camp just below the Police-Detective col, we dumped our overnight gear and climbed up the sub peaks of Detective, then down towards the final col, where I took this photo looking south to Trooper. The late season revealed an impressive array of crevasses on the north glacier of Trooper. But in winter these would be buried. As you can see, Trooper has a distinctive black nose facing east. Trooper is the parent of Detective peak, connected via the low saddle at right.

After taking the photo, we continued down to the col and then up the final east ridge of Detective Peak.
