Mount Olds and White Peak (Place Glacier) # 18200

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2018.07.22
Vantage Point: From the eastern ridge of Mount Oleg

Caption: Olds at left with White at right and a distant Joffre Group in between.

PhotoDescr: Vlad and I started at the end of Spetch Creek Road and worked our way up towards the Lower White Lakes area. We gained White Peak by way of it's SW ridge (right side in photo) then dropped off it's northern side (the ridge facing camera where shadow/light meet) and over to the south ridge of Olds and up that.

There's a tricky notch coming down the west ridge of Olds. After that we dumped our packs at the col and ascended Oleg. Back at the packs we dropped off the col heading southward into a valley and past a lake then down a north branch of Spetch Creek to reach the main creek and back out to the vehicle (and beer).
