Looking South to Homathko Icefield # 1816

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2002.05.10
Vantage Point: From summit of Nicholson

Caption: View south over the SE corner of the Niut Range towards the Homathko and Mount Queen Bess.

PhotoDescr: Queen Bess is the obvious sharp peak on the right. In front of it and at extreme right is Sleepwalker (summit with rocky nipple). The left forepeak of this, with the shadowed north face, is Early Riser.

The rock tower in the middle is apparently Homathko Mountain. Essex and Sussex are just behind it towards Queen Bess.

The big massif at center with the shadowed north face is Cloud-drifter.

At far left in the background are the peaks like Good Hope around the head of Chilko Lake. It's hard to see exactly what is what at this distance.

The long ridge in the foreground leading out of the picture in front of Cloud-drifter is the first ridge south of Ottarasko. A small portion of the west ridge of Ottarasko is visible in the extreme left foreground.
