Caption: Steamboat Prow, just left of center, where the Emmons and Winthrop Glaciers split. Mount Ruth is the subpeak to the left.

PhotoDescr: Taken on an Indian Summer day trip to the Sunrise area of Mount Rainer National Park. Despite having very little prominence, Steamboat Prow is an important waypoint along the summit route to Rainier on this side, and a common destination in its own right. The Inter Glacier, small and dirty compared to the glaciers above, is a popular ski descent in season.
