Burroughs Mountain from the east # 18024

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2015.09.29
Vantage Point: From just west of 2nd Burroughs, looking west

Caption: Main (3rd) summit of Burroughs Mountain is at center. Liberty Cap on the upper part of Mount Rainier is visible in the left background.

PhotoDescr: Taken on an Indian Summer day trip to the Sunrise area of Mount Rainier National Park. The main summit of Burroughs Mountain is referred to as "Third Burroughs" in park materials, and despite being the true peak does not have an official trail to the top. However, there is an informal trail (visible in the background here) to the top.

Going all the way to the 3rd summit is well worth the trip, with views down to the Winthrop Glacier and surrounding area.
