Caption: YaoMei Feng (幺妹峰), south face

PhotoDescr: Two of us arrived to RiLong township in Sichuan province, China on October 16,2017, and after finding a hotel (and eating delicious local noodles), went for a hike to prime and acclimatize for DaFeng (四姑娘山大峰 5,025m) which is part of Four Sisters massive (四姑娘山). This is when this photo was taken. YaoMei Feng (6,250m) is the tallest peak among those four. As the local legend goes, the youngest sister (YaoMei) was the last to perish in the mountains when four of them went to save their father from a vicious monster. The photo's south face of YaoMei Feng is about 1,000m drop, has been attempted numerous times in the past but was successfully climbed only once (as far as I know). In any case, the area receives very little traffic from Western climbers.
