East Slopes of Singas Peak # 17794

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.

Vantage Point: Singas Creek Road

Caption: Singas Peak at left and Paradise Peak

PhotoDescr: The first time I visited the Santa Rosa Range in 1994 I climbed a subpeak of Singas Peak from the west and south. My map showed a trail continuing around the east slopes of the mountains. This time I wanted to climb from the trailhead at the end of the Singas Creek road. However I soon came to some bad wash outs and it didn't look that there would be a good shady campsite in the bare valley. Also it would be too far to carry skis and too much snow higher up. So I aborted this trip.
