Mount Potter from Mount Coulter # 17772

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2017.05.07
Vantage Point: From the eastern ridge of Mount Coulter

Caption: Looking south across the Ferguson Creek Valley to the twin summits of Mount Potter. Brown (Merge), Rocktip, Silvertip, Rideout, Sumallo and Payne behind.

PhotoDescr: The western summit (right in this photo) is slightly higher than the eastern officially named peak that is marked with a cross in memory of WW II serviceman John Potter. Both peaks make for a nice ascent from the Potter Creek Valley (no trail but the southern slopes feature open forest and minimal bush further up).

Justin Brown and I gained the eastern ridge of Coulter from the lower end of the Ferguson Creek Valley and followed it over a few bumps to the summit which is also named after a WW II serviceman but not from the Grainger Mountain Project (done in the 1980s) as it was named in the 1950s.
