Iceberg Lake panorama including Vulture Peak # 17727

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2014.08.01
Vantage Point: The lower southeast face of Portal Peak, just above Iceberg Lake.

Caption: From L to R, Bow Lake, Crowfoot, Vulture, Iceberg Lake, Onion, Olive, St. Nicholas, Gordon.

PhotoDescr: On the first day of August, 2014, I completed a long solo scramble up one of my last remaining Wapta Icefield mountains - Portal Peak. After a long, hot, loose scramble to the summit I returned via Iceberg Lake and it's approach hike from the lower moraine south of Bow Falls.

The views were stunning all day, but the mountain is very loose and caution is required to safely ascend and descend it.
