Crying Peak (Kruger West/Black Mountain) from Mount Kruger # 17655

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2014.09.22
Vantage Point: From the upper southwestern slopes of Mount Kruger

Caption: Western view from the summit area of Kruger towards Crying with Kilpoola Lake below. The Chopaka area rear left and Snowy is distant centre right.

PhotoDescr: I hiked mostly open terrain from Kilpoola Lake to reach the summit of Kruger (the lower named summit of Kruger is a little to the southeast). Kruger and Crying are both in the South Okanagan Grasslands Protected Area (Kilpoola and Chopaka East sections respectively) and part of the contentious proposal for a South Okanagan/Similkameen National Park Reserve. Crying is referred to as Black Mountain on the Provincial Park webpage.

In September of 2016 I followed the dirt road going west then southwest from just past Blue Lake (passing through the Sage and Sparrow Grasslands Nature Conservancy) to reach a private property section of land southeast of Crying. From there I did a loop trip to Crying which offers up some good views down into the Similkameen Valley and beyond.
