Truax NW3, Xanadu, Brexton and Fergusson from Downton Lake # 17443

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2016.08.14
Vantage Point: From Gun Lake Road South

Caption: Looking across Downton Lake Reservoir and the Lajoie Dam to Truax NW3 and Mount Xanadu with Brexton Dome and Mount Fergusson on the right.

PhotoDescr: The day before we had hiked/scrambled Sunshine Mountain and Crazy (Cadwallader) Peak then spent the night at the old ski cabin near Bralorne. On this day we explored Piebiter Creek Road and some old mining cabins before heading into Gold Bridge for snacks at the store.

This shot was taken on the way to Gun Lake for a swim before heading back to Vancouver on the bumpy Hurley River Road. I hope to visit the Mount Truax area by way of the Fergusson Creek Valley which is just right of centre (left of Brexton Dome) in this picture. An old mining road climbs high to the eastern flank of Xanadu.
