Panorama beyond South Cinder Peak # 17171

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1971.08.06
Vantage Point: Mount Jefferson

Caption: South Cinder Peak is the rounded peak in left middleground.

PhotoDescr: I took this photo with a tele lens while resting during the ascent on the SE ridge of Mount Jefferson. It was easy to identify the major peaks in the distance. Three Fingered Jack at right, Mount Washington, the Tree Sisters in center and Broken Top at far left. Because of the narrow angle and forshortened distance of the teleshot it was more difficult to identify anything in the foreground, but South Cinder Peak is the best fit. See also Olallie Butte
