Watchdog Peak from above Russet Lake # 16980

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2013.08.08
Vantage Point: From the highpoint of the Singing Pass Trail, looking south

Caption: Watchdog is the highest of the three bumps on the left side of the photo, with the small glacier in sunlight. Sinister Peak is the 2nd bump after Watchdog along the same ridge. Mamquam area peaks are visible in the background.

PhotoDescr: Taken on a three day trip to the Russet Lake area. The evening of our second day afforded a number of good photo opportunities, from the high point along the Singing Pass trail above Russet Lake.

Watchdog Peak is one of those summits that are remote and likely see very few ascents due to its lack of prominence. The glacier on its slopes does not appear on the old 1:50000 topos but does on the new 1:20000 ones.
