Vantage Point: From the ridge west of the Refuse Pinnacle, looking southwest

Caption: Main summit of Whirlwind Peak, with the main peak the last bump along the obvious ridge at center. Parapet and Isosceles Peaks are visible at the far left, with Castle Towers and surrounding peaks behind the south ridge of Whirlwind. The Tantalus range is visible in the center-right background.

PhotoDescr: Taken on a three day trip to the Russet Lake area. While the northern slopes of Whirlwind hold the Overlord Glacier, the southern slopes are steep scree down to Refuse Creek and eventually the Cheakamus River. This photo was taken after summiting Whirlwind on the way to Overlord Mountain.
