Fat Dog Peak Summit (Manning Park) # 16960

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2015.11.28
Vantage Point: From the upper north ridge.

Caption: Looking back towards Bob Wilson on the summit across wind sculptured snow.

PhotoDescr: This formally unnamed 2046m mountain (west of Blackwall Peak) in Manning Park rises straight up east or northwards from Highway 3. Tim, Bob and I figured a straight up approach from the highway in a NNE direction (from the 2nd of two closely spaced bridges over the Similkameen River) should work.

Bushy for the first while then open forest to gain a minor ridge up to some bluffs where we followed a gully that got us past the steeper terrain and on to easier slopes to reach the peak. Nice views from the summit and we stuck around for over an hour enjoying a temperature inversion along with no wind.
