Crosscut Ridge from the East # 1655

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2002.05.16
Vantage Point: From glacier to the East of Mt. Luxor

Caption: Approaching the Crosscut/Luxor col from the east

PhotoDescr: Taken on day five of a six day traverse of the McBride Range starting from Whistler Mountain and finishing via Diamond Head. We were lucky to have clear enough weather to permit travel every day and finished the trip much faster than anticipated. Despite the remoteness of the area, there did appear to be one party only a few days ahead of us (they seemed to have an innate sense of the correct route down steep and cliffy slopes and their tracks helped us at many points -- thanks!)
