Caption: The heavily glaciated northeast side of Cerberus Mountain.

PhotoDescr: This photo shows the heavily glaciated north side of Cerberus Mountain, in stark contrast to the exposed rock ridges of the south side. There is a ski route to the summit of this high, 10,300 foot (3140 m) summit, which is located on the southwestern edge of the Monarch Icefield, however, there is considerable avalanche hazard on the upper section of this route with the danger of being swept over an icefall. The route does an ascending clockwise traverse around the south and west sides of the mountain approaching the final summit from the north west.
