Switchblade, Jackknife and Stiletto # 15946

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2013.09.16
Vantage Point: Copper Pass trail

Caption: The ridge west of Copper Pass. From left to right: Switchblade, Jackknife and Stiletto. Copper Pass is obscured by the tall tree at far left.

PhotoDescr: I joined the Copper Pass trail from MP 160 on Highway 20. Stiletto is the only officially named peak on the ridge but is the lowest of the three prominences.

It's a circuitous route to climb Switchblade from Copper Pass using the trail. Possibly it is shorter and easier to go in by the Stiletto Lookout trail in the national park. Alternatively, wait for snow and climb and ski up the north side of these rocky peaks.
