Vantage Point: South of Mount Bulmer

Caption: Looking at the easy ascent route on Mount Beguin

PhotoDescr: Mount Beguin is the highest peak of the Settlers Group and the one ascended with the least amount of steep, loose rubble, and probably the best views. The ascent route follows the low angle rubble ramp from left to right of photo just below the snow patch. This ramp leads to the east ridge which is followed easily to the summit. A remnant glacier on the north ridge allows easy progress along to Bacchus Ridge, Mount Clark and Mount Wilkinson.

Access is easy via Heart Lake trail.
