The Northeast Face of Mummery South # 15245

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2011.09.12
Vantage Point: 0.5 km ESE of the summit of Mummery South

Caption: The Northeast Face of Mummery South

PhotoDescr: Here the route up Mummery South is clearly shown: amble up to the 'schrund, wherever it might be bridged, and then kick steps up the forty-five degree snow, using a single ice axe for stability and security, for about 550' until the crest of the snow ridge is reached (and then the fun begins!). The easy ascent/exit route is on the far right - more snow pillows and troughs along the north ridge.
