Mount Garibaldi From Atwell Peak # 14797

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2009.05.24
Vantage Point: Atwell Peak North Ridge

Caption: The pinnacle in the foreground is at the junction between Atwell's east and north ridges. The rock pyramid on the right is the summit block of Mount Garibaldi while the snow summit just left of the pinnacle is Dalton Dome. The climbers visible in the centre of the picture are descending the Cheekeye Glacier after summiting Mount Garibaldi and Dalton Dome.

PhotoDescr: This picture was taken during my fifth failed attempt to climb Atwell Peak via its north ridge. Getting around the pinnacle in the foreground is one of the two cruxes on this route. Because of the extremely poor rock, this climb is best done with a layer of hard snow.
