Serratus North Face # 14643

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2010.08.01
Vantage Point: Summit of Zenith Mountain

Caption: The north face of Serratus Mountain from the summit of Zenith Mountain. Part of the Dione-Tantalus east ridge is in the front.

PhotoDescr: The Serratus North Face route, rated AD in the "Alpine Select" climbing guide, runs from the Red Tit Col (on the photo's right-hand side) roughly along the edge of the shadow up the face to the summit, bypassing the isolated rock band on climber's left.

This photo was taken on the second day of a private trip attempting the north ridge of Tantalus. Weather and route-finding complications forced us to retreat and get satisfied with the summit of Zenith only.
