The Northwest Aspect of Mount Bess # 14402

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2010.08.01
Vantage Point: One of several high points in the alpine meadows between Blueberry Lake and Jackpine Pass

Caption: Mount Bess - the southwest and west Ridges

PhotoDescr: See Trip Report #7128. If time had permitted, we had thought we might hike the ugly trail over to the area underneath the snowfield on the right-hand side of the photo and set up camp, with the intention of climbing the south ridge (on the skyline) the following day. But good sense prevailed and we marched back toward Blueberry Lake instead. But it is an intriguing and beautiful ridge, one I would dearly love to have a crack at some day.
