The Sphinx, Viking Ridge, Castle Towers, Carr and Pyramid from Dreadnought West Ridge # 13605

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2010.02.21
Vantage Point: From the west ridge of Dreadnought Peak.

Caption: A north-northeast view from the near upper west ridge of Dreadnought Peak. The Sphinx is at left with the Viking Ridge area in front of it. Castle Towers, Mount Carr and Pyramid Mountain go from centre right to right.

PhotoDescr: Views from Dreadnought Peak (Mamquam Southwest Summits Area) are pretty good in all directions. With no clouds in the sky, no wind and warm temperatures, Ramsay Dyer and I spent over an hour on the summit taking pictures, enjoying the grand views and identifying as many mountains as possible.

We made a semi-loop out of the trip by ascending Dreadnought's lower west ridge and following it up towards the summit. On the return we dropped off the ridgeline down to Watersprite Lake and followed the creek back out.
