Mount Spring-Rice # 13326

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2009.08.25
Vantage Point: From the Southwest Ridge of Mount Saskatchewan

Caption: A zoomed in photo of the upper section of Mount Spring-Rice

PhotoDescr: On my 3rd trip into the Terrace Creek Valley I was determined to summit Mount Saskatchewan. I had devised and used a new short cut route into the Terrace Creek Valley to accomplish this goal. On the approach day I decided that I had time to ascend a nearby mountain which I named "Mount Totally Awesome View" for obvious reasons. The next day I ascended Mount Saskatchewan via the Southwest Ridge and gathered many great photos on the way. The ascent is mostly a scramble with one section consisting of two short low fifth class pitches. You should probably bring a rappel rope at least for this section. See my trip report for further details linked above.
