Martin Peak (From near Gibson Col) # 13225

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2009.12.01
Vantage Point: From a 1800 m subpeak between the western and eastern summits

Caption: Martin Peak with Mount Garibaldi rear right and Sedgwick to Tantalus rear left. The far west ridge of Dreadnought with the burn-over/trees is also at right.

PhotoDescr: Ramsay Dyer and I did a semi-loop trip that involved ascending the southern side of this peak and then heading over to a sub peak between it and the eastern (Gibson) peak.

From there we went east a little more before dropping down northward into a bowl and contouring around to Watersprite Lake and following the creek steeply at times down to a flat area before ascending back to the logging road to complete the loop.

Note, this is the peak labelled as Martin Peak in the database and on Google Maps.
