Sedgwick to Omega from Lapworth # 12846

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2009.08.16
Vantage Point: From the summit of Mount Lapworth

Caption: A northwestern view from Mount Lapworth with Sedgwick and Conybeare to the left. The Red Tusk area is near centre with Niobe/Pelops/Iota right of that. Alpha is the pyramid-shaped peak and Omega is at right and the Fries Creek Valley below.

PhotoDescr: Ramsay Dyer (with the canoes), Chris Hood, Vlad and I paddled across the Squamish River and then hiked the trail next to Monmouth Creek (many waterfalls, cascades and water-sculpted granite) to get to Echo Lake.

From there we bushwhacked northward to gain the southeast side of Lapworth and followed good rock and slabs to the summit. Views to the east weren't that great (though we had a good aspect of Sky Pilot), but north and west certainly were.
