Vantage Point: Summit of Outrigger Peak

PhotoDescr: The south face of Sun Peak drops very steeply into the depths of Outrigger Creek. Mount Tinniswood is the dominant feature behind and right of Sun. Mount Albert is the massif at distant left with the impressive spire on the northeast ridge. Mount Casement is right of the spire.

I work as a forester, and have climbed mountains for over 15 years. The bugs on this trip were as bad as I have ever seen. I looked like an assault victim the next day. I climbed Outrigger last year in rain and snow, and the bugs were bad as well.
