Lookout Peak and Harrison Lake # 12325

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2008.10.22
Vantage Point: Harrison Lake beach in Harrison Hot Springs

Caption: Lookout Peak, looking northeast from the beach at Harrison Hot Springs. Echo Island, one of the two large islands in Harrison Lake, is in the left foreground. The two small islets off Echo Island are Marguerite and Camile Islands.

PhotoDescr: Lookout Peak is located on the east side of Harrison Lake, north of Slollicum Peak and south of Field Peak. It is slightly lower in height than Slollicum Peak, but is connected to it by a high ridge. Three small lakes are located on the east side of the peak, at altitudes ranging from 1064 to 1376 metres.

There has been extensive logging around the peak, especially on the north and east sides. The summit should be fairly easy to reach from old logging roads, starting from either the Harrison East FSR on the west side of the peak, or the Bear Creek FSR northeast of the peak.
